Triumphant Sisters Crowned at DeKalb County Fair Pageants

In a heartwarming display of sibling success, Addison Paige Curtis and Kallen Averie Curtis of Smithville emerged victorious in their respective pageants at the DeKalb County Fair on Wednesday night.

Miss Sweetheart Pageant

Eleven-year-old Addison Paige Curtis, the daughter of Heather Page and John Curtis, was crowned Miss Sweetheart 2023. She succeeds Baylei Anne Benson, last year’s winner.

Shaniya Bates of Liberty, the daughter of Tom and Chyna Bates, was First Runner-up and Most Photogenic. Arraya Jenae Taylor of Smithville, the daughter of Angie Taylor, placed Second Runner-up.

Miss Princess Pageant

Eight-year-old Kallen Averie Curtis, the daughter of Heather Page and John Curtis, claimed the title of Miss Princess. She succeeds Chloe Payton Myers, the retiring winner.

Haddeigh Grace Harvey of Alexandria, the daughter of Chad and Kayla Harvey, placed First Runner-up. Wrigley Marie Jared of Smithville, the daughter of Tim and Shelly Jared, secured the position of Second Runner-up and Miss Congeniality. Ava Grace Roller of Smithville, the daughter of George and Abbey Roller, received the Most Photogenic award.

Both Addison and Kallen had dedicated themselves to their pageant preparations, showcasing their poise, talent, and confidence. Their hard work and determination paid off in this resounding triumph.
